Set in 80's Leicester, best described as a dull and grey city in the English Midlands, this book tells the story of my life as a doorman. My main place of work was at a bar that was frequented by the ‘alternative’ crowd of the time and hidden beneath a respectable city centre hotel. During that time I went from a shy, quiet lad from a white collar background to a goth loving, steroid fuelled monster.
